Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin (A-PRF)

In order to achieve optimal wound healing in our patients, the use of A-PRF membranes in combination with ozone therapy is an integral part of all surgical procedures. This method is used primarily when the regeneration of bone and soft tissue is particularly important, such as after tooth extraction, implantation, for bone building or generally after surgical treatment in the oral cavity. To do this, we take a small amount of blood from our patients’ veins and centrifuge it. The plasma membranes obtained in this way, consist of blood platelets (thrombocytes) and fibrin and are considered to be stimulators of blood coagulation. They contain numerous growth factors and, through targeted cell activation, ensure that the tissue can heal optimally after injuries or operations. They support the immune response, so that optimal, inflammation-free wound healing can be generated.

Ozone

In our practice, we use a special oxygen healing device for every surgical procedure to disinfect the wound area and accelerate wound healing. Ozone is a particularly “active” form of oxygen. By inserting the device probe into the wound area, an electrical voltage is generated and the local oxygen is used to promote short-term tissue circulation while simultaneously eliminating bacteria, viruses and fungi. The sterilizing effect penetrates up to 2.5 cm into the bone without having a negative effect on the body’s own cells. This means we can offer our patients a highly efficient method of sterilizing the wound area that is free of side effects.

In addition, herpes, aphthous ulcers and other gum problems can be treated excellently with ozone.
